Meet Omen FDCh

You may wonder why Omen is on our Rottweiler website.
He is after all a (shhhhhh...Pit Bull!!!)

There are several reasons for including Omen here.
The first of which is because he is owned by a very dear friend, Beth Jackson.

Omen is also here because Ann is a member of the "Omen Fan Club".

                                 This is a very elite club and includes a few others...
                                 Judy Phoenix, Ellen Calnan, Catherine O'Donnell and Shirley Gilchrest to name a few!

As you can see, Omen is a versatile competition dog.
His is a Flyball Champion and is working in agility.

Omen has several other hidden talents as well...
Not only does he skateboard, but he sings!  (Ellen INSISTS he's singing Johnny Cash songs...)

And although he lives in Sunny California, Omen sometimes gets chilly...for this reason, he's well outfitted.

Although a nice 'banky' and his girl, Blitz, are preferable to the sweatshirt.

Then again, what could be better than actual body heat???

I said above that there were several reasons that we included Omen on our webpage.
Beside the fact that he's so handsome, there is one very important reason...

We'd like to remind people that there are indeed Pit Bulls
who enjoy the luxury of a loving and responsible owner (Thanks Beth!!!)

As you have seen, the life that Omen leads is very similar to that of all of our own pups.
Because of this, he is as safe and loving a companion as any one of our dogs is.

Sadly, even those in the dog fancy have abandoned the bull breeds and the result is that
Pit Bulls and related pure breed dogs have been banned in many municipalities,
including our own province of Ontario!
Yes indeed, it is now illegal for Beth to bring Omen here to visit us.

Please please please take the time to educate yourself about Breed Specific Legislation.
Do not pretend to think that ours will not be the next breed to be banned.
It is up to all of us to know our rights, and to fight for them.

After all, we are not just fighting for the rights of dogs like Omen, but for all good dogs.
