Emma sets her trap...

Emma only seems to play hard with Dylan. She is very physical, but it's more of a run full tilt and deke you out kind of play.  It's really only once in awhile that she makes body contact and it's usually to avoid a slam by Dylan (she'd rather hit me than get hit by Dylan!) Even when Emma does slam into me she seems to turn her body away at the last second so she appears to slam me, but she more or less just runs to me and jumps up at me and just brushes me with her bulk. It's actually kind of neat to see her ability to control her body (and it doesn't hurt nearly as much).

Although accidents do happen as my sore body can attest to today. Now that the little snot is on a long line there are plenty of accidents waiting to happen. Yesterday I had her and Dylan out in the yard and I wanted to unload groceries so I tied her to the well. Anyhow, after I finished unpacking I walked over to the well to release the Devil Hound. I neglected to notice that I had walked into the "loop of havoc". Just as I had myself positioned exactly in her trap she took off after Dylan as the darn leash got closer to my ankles I swear all I could do was watch it hit, *whammo* it took me right off my feet! Man that ground hurts when you hit it at turbo speed!  Emma just kind of stopped and turned and looked at me like I was the killjoy for ruining her mad dash. Oh well, once again I was the only one worse for the wear and I really hope the neighbours weren't watching! :-)
