We've
received
quite a few inquiries as to why we plan
to stop offering Yngo at outside stud. While we appreciate the
interest breeders continue to show in Yngo, he and his kids have far
exceeded our personal goals and therefore, we feel that his
work is done in this regard. We have outlined our reasoning below:
~
Yngo has provided us with some lovely pups to move forward with that
are fully health cleared and titled on both ends. We would like
to devote some time in the future to mentoring their owners as they
become the next generation of breeders.
~
As of February 18, 2006, Yngo surpassed the Top Producing Rottweiler
of all time in Canada and also reached ARC Gold Producer
Status. Further, it is reasonable to expect that the
puppies he already has on the ground will make him one of the top ARC
producers of all time as well (Thanks kids!).
~
We worry about genetic diversity in our breed. Yngo currently
has 22 litters over three countries. We feel that no stud dog
needs to produce much more than this during his lifetime now that
frozen semen* affords us the opportunity to use him indefinitely.
*Yes, we do have sufficient semen frozen in both the US and Canada
for ourselves and
those who have used Yngo in the past. Additionally, Yngo has
semen frozen in Australia.
Thank
you to the following breeders: Valerie McGraw (Eis Haus) & Gwen
Kelly (Kando), Cheri Hagen (Stoneridge) & Sandy Overgaard
(Pepperhaus), John & Jeanine Belbin (Allerchost), Kathy Lovan
(Halo), Norma Dikeman (Nordike) & Jerry/Crystal Aults, Donna
Anderson (Hemlock), Pauline Karalia (Deerwood), Tammy Ausloos (Esmond
US), Julia Foster (Rochill), Dave Makar (Rudez), Carol Beasley (Ikon)
& Steve/Betsy Milligan (Spirit's), Becky Giddings (Lakina),
Don & Pearl Thompson (Oakview), and Lyla Johnston (Kayla's), for
bringing their lovely girls to Yngo. Thank you also to
each and every owner who has opened their home and their heart to an
Yngo pup. We hope that they are everything you have ever
dreamed of!
